Olivia and Tukorehu’s Wedding

‘He proposed the night before his 21st birthday in our bedroom. He was being playfully annoying asking me to do things and then he asked me to grab his vest and go into the pocket. I jammed the zip, threw the vest at him and he pulled a ring box out of his pocket and I said, “Is that a wedding ring?” to which he replied, “Yes!” before getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him.

‘Because we were still young when we got engaged we knew we wanted to wait a couple of years before our wedding. We fell in love with Pemberton as soon as we walked in, as we wanted a venue with both indoor and outdoor options and somewhere we could spend the whole day.

‘We had a very intimate wedding in the quince garden with our family and friends present. We both wrote our own vows and Tukorehu’s were like a rap but very meaningful. Our guests still talk about his vows to this day.

‘Our reception was inside with a buffet dinner. Both our dads gave speeches and sang songs, then we danced the night away with DJ Dale playing the tunes
