Michelle and Lance’s love story began on a night out, introduced through mutual friends. After six and a half years together, Lance proposed in the middle of the Dubai desert – and the photos are absolutely incredible!
When it came to planning their wedding, Michelle had a clear vision: something simple and relaxed. But with her fast-paced role as a project manager and Lance’s summer commitments playing Touch Rugby, finding a date wasn’t easy.
“We went through our calendar, found a day we were both free, and locked it in!” Michelle says.
The ceremony, officiated by Kineta, was short and sweet – in fact, Kineta described it as the quickest ceremony she had ever performed. “We did the bare minimum to make it legal. We were eager to get to the part where we could sit down and eat with our family!”
Their celebration took place at The Starling Homestead, where the rural backdrop provided stunning photo opportunities.
“One of my favourite photos is the wide shot of us in the field,” Michelle says. “The sky and setting are beautiful, and it captures such a special moment with my husband.”
True to their vision, the couple kept the day relaxed and intimate, self-catering the reception and spending the evening enjoying food, drinks, and conversation with their loved ones.
“It was exactly what we wanted – sharing a meal, talking, and laughing together.”
